Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences, Gangtok is incorporated under the State Legislative Act (Act IX of 1995) of the Government of Sikkim and is recognized by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development and also by the University Grants Commission. The Sikkim Manipal University's Degrees / Diplomas / Certificates are recognized by all members of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and are at par with Degrees/Diplomas/ Certificates of all Indian Universities/Deemed Universities/institutions. Sikkim Manipal University has established itself as the Indian benchmark in Quality Education as it also offers various courses through VSAT (Satellite link) equipped with ultramodern teaching aids and methodologies which facilitates complete interaction between students and world renowned faculty. The courses are directly offered by University through our Study Centre. The courses of the University are approved by Distance Education Council (DEC).
